TRUE VISION SCHEME

Police forces in the UK have set up an initiative aimed at tackling hate crime.

Part of the True Vision scheme involves the distribution of special information and advice packs to organisations and venues throughout the country allowing anyone who has experienced, witnessed, or learns of a hate crime incident to report the details, anonymously if they wish.

Two types of packs are available. The first pack is aimed at combating racist or religiously motivated crime. The second is aimed at tackling hate crimes suffered by the lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender community.

As well as self-reporting forms the packs include information on support groups, partner agencies, advice on domestic abuse and bullying, safety advice and information on Crown Prosecution Service Prosecution policy for hate crime offences.

The packs include information and advice to help anyone who has experienced hate crime or knows anyone who is being targeted because of the religion, sexuality, gender, beliefs or race.

Please view the links in the top right hand box. These will give you more information above the true vision scheme.
